Mission

Our mission consists in guaranteeing access to drinking water in adequate conditions of efficiency, quantity and quality to the users, contributing to the economic development of the Spanish Mediterranean Basin in a responsible manner both socially and environmentally. This mission can be summarised in the following business objectives:

To satisfy our users and citizens’ drinking water needs.
To contribute to economic growth and environmental improvement in the areas where we operate.
To foster parity between regions, enabling those areas with a greater water deficit to access the water they need to develop their agriculture and tourism, basic economic pillars.
To maximice efficiency and quality in our installation operations.
To prevent and correct the environmental impact of our iniatiatives.
To generate added value for the organisms and companies which we collaborate with.
To maintain a constant and fluent dialogue with our interest groups.

Vision

Our vision is to be a company capable of adding the experience and solvency of the public sector to the efficiency and management agility of private Management. That focus aims at applying the know-how and most advanced technologies to provide answers to the important water challenges that pose Spanish Mediterranean Basins: social commitment, production costs, resource scarcity, resource quality and environmental deterioration.

The first of these challenges Acuamed is faced with in reaching this vision is related to the social commitment that must be established between users of the infrastructures driven by Acuamed. This company’s initiatives are the result of the dialogue and consensus with interested and affected parties which becomes effective through the agreements endorsed by users. This consensus must be maintained and endure in time, and adapt to circumstantial changes that may take place.

Another great challenge is the need to make the most of the opportunities that technological development offers for the optimization of operations and maintenance or our installations. The current economic situation must be an incentive to continue advancing in the operations and energetic efficiency of our installations with the purpose of improving the economic efficiency of the infrastructures.
